Acne Prone Skin Care Starts With The Basics
Acne is a situation which is not only annoying to your skin physically, but it also affects you emotionally. Special care is required for acne prone skin. If you follow the proper routine to keep your skin healthy then your acne prone skin will change into smooth and bright skin within a few months. There is no specific cure for everyone, different people have different kinds of acne problems. The common cure to many acne prone skin care problems is to keep your skin clean and moisturized.
Cleanliness
Wash your skin regularly and use an antibacterial face wash. Your hands must be clean to keep your skin bacteria free. It is good to use warm water to wash your skin (neither too hot nor too cold). Use a mild toilet soap or shampoo to clean your body and never forget to clean under your arms and rear portion of your ears. Teenagers have the most acne prone skin because of the extra oiliness of the skin, so wash your hands and face at least once or twice a day.
Washing your skin is not enough to keep it clean. Everything which comes in contact with your skin must also be clean. If you wash your skin gently and use a dirty towel then it is not going to help in any terms. Make sure that everything, which comes in contact with your skin including your bedding, pillowcase, your garments (specifically scarf) and even your hair, must be cleaned on regular basis. Hair products must be used with due care if you have acne prone skin. Hydration After cleanliness, hydration is the other vital aspect which should be taken care of. Drink plenty of water or fluids to help your body in maintaining its balance. Moisturizer Use the moisturizers which are oil and alcohol free. Always have a dry run of the moisturizer before using it on the face. If your skin becomes red or irritated then don't use that particular moisturizer. The moisturizers which contain Vitamin E are good for acne prone skin. Use a little moisturizer whenever you feel your skin is dry. Medical Treatment If you are suffering from acne then medical treatment is necessary and definitely helps in reducing or eradicating them. There is no one solution or treatment available for all. Different medical treatments help in different ways. Most of the time benzyl peroxide, salicylic acid, zinc, or sulfur is used for the treatment of acne prone skin. The medical treatments for acne prone skin takes a long time to complete but if you don't see any results within two months then it is always better to consult the dermatologist and change the medication. Most commonly prescribed treatments for acne prone skin are Laser therapy, Isotretinoin (Accutane), Retinioids and Antibiotics. Don't take any medicine directly without consulting the doctor. In summary, keep your skin clean and moisturized and take the proper medication to get rid of the acne.
